1966 TRATOS was set up by Ing. Egidio Capaccini.
1974 Leadership of TRATOS was passed on to Ing. Albano Bragagni.
1978 Start of production of Copper Telecommunication and Instrumentation Cables for Telephone and Petroleum Engineering Companies.
1980 TRATOS developed, inhouse, Thermoplastic and Elastomeric compounds with LSZH material.
1981 TRATOS set up its own presence in the UK with Tratos Ltd (as a distribution and sales company).
1980’s Became the leader for production of telecommunication cable.
1987 Began production of fibre-optical cables for Italian and foreign markets.
1990’s TRATOS began production of Medium Voltage Cables.
Openes a new factory for Medium Voltage Cables in Catania.
Tratos becomes one of the major cable suppliers for: Telecommunications, Energy, Transport, Infrastructure, Petrochemical plants, mining and tunnelling insustries. Starts the production of Fire resistant cables.
2000 TRATOS becomes a third generation family company.
2001 Tratos starts the production of umbilical cables for oil & gas related applications in partnership with the Brazilian company MFX.
2002 Using their 40 years of cable design and construction experience TRATOS opened “Cables Tailor Made” a special division of Tratos Cavi S.p.A.
2008 Tratos Cavi created Tratos Cavi Iberica, by a strategic decision of the President of the Group, Albano Bragagni, to perpetrate the Spanish market.
2008 Tratos acquired the UK based company North West Cables Ltd., and their subsidiary Modular Wiring Systems Ltd.
2008 TRATOS opened branch offices in Germany and China.
2009 TRATOS starts production of H.V. cables and established a new factory for H.V. cables in Pieve Santo Stefano.
